The megaliths of the infra-thin world
2022
Fine Art prints on Hahnemühle Baryta paper and Dibond
90 x 60 cm (35.4 x 23.6 inches)
Produced with the support of the Museum of Volcanoes in Aurillac (2022).

Based on a scientific collection of thin slides, usually observed under polarized microscope light, the artist uses photography to take us on a marvellous journey to the heart of matter, from the infinitely small to the infinitely large. Tiny samples of common volcanic rocks (basalt, schist, gneiss...) reveal unexpected treasures..
